HELP!!! System won't turn on...

I went to switch on my Comp this morning, and....nothing! I had not done any recent modifications to it for a couple of weeks, and everything had been running smoothly. But now, nothing...almost nothing. If I turn the switch on the power supply off for a few seconds, then on again, I get a flash of power...the fan on my GF4200 moves a little and the LED on the mobo flashes "FF" for about a tenth of a second, then all goes dark. The PSU is an Antec TruPower 330 and the mobo is an EPoX 8rda+. Anyone have any ideas what to look for??

It sounds like your PSU isn't too happy, although I'm a bit surprised since you mention the Antec. Try unplugging some unnecessary devices (cdroms, hdds, floppy) and see if it POSTs. If so, well, you found the problem.

Might want to post full system specs and do the usual 'check all cable connections' thing.

Well, thanks for the reply...but it is the PSU. I was pretty sure it was, I just didn't want to say it out loud for fear of having it be true. I pulled out the PSU and peeked inside...thru the vents. Sure enuf, melties!!! I thot "O Crap! My mobo, my CPU and possibly my drives are gone too..." So I pulled my noisy generic PSU out of my other box and placed it into this box, hooked everything up and....much to my relief, everything else is fine! Booted without a hitch! Interestingly enuf, I didn't pray...I was threatening God under my breath!!!

Don't know why this happened...there was no storm and the box had been running great. Haven't opened it or moved it in about 2 weeks. I d/l'd the RMA form from ANTEC...luckily this thing has a 3 year warranty (had it for 3 months). We'll see how much they REALLY stand by their product!
