help! system hangs when wireless phone rings

i have a very strange problem, whenever i play a game or hear music (cd\mp3) and my wireless phone rings my system hangs/crash, if i hear a cd the screen just freeze but the music keeps playing.
the phone (GE-267000ge2-b) is on the same line with the modem and its about 1 meter from my computer.
if anyone have any idea that can help me please let me know.

If there are two separate cables (one to your computer, one to your phone) you can try adding some ferrite cores around the phone end of the cable connecting to the phone, and maybe another one or two at the computer end of the computer-connected cable.

I'm thinking that maybe the ring pulses are leaking into your system through a (probably) flakey modem chip. There's a chance you have some setting related to the modem that might cause an interrupt that's not being handled properly.

If you have another modem, try using that if the ferrite cores don't work.

Radio Shack, and most electronic supply places should have 'em, they're cheap.
