I wonder if anyone can help me on this problem. I just upgraded my system from a celery 450 to a 700e Tbird on an Asus a7v mobo(soon to be oc'd). I've got a Rage Fury 128 card with SB live and 2x 64 mb pc100 mem. I've swapped my mobo and CPU and started knowingly expecting to reload 98 to fix any problems I'm going to encounter. However, I can't even load the setup portion of the win98 CD via DOS prompts. It just kicks me back to a dos prompt. I'm also running an older Adaptec 2940 SCSI card with Zip, 2gig fireball, Yamaha CDRW, and Pioneer 24x drive. For some reason, even with a reformat of my OS partition and base level SCSI support drivers in DOS, Windows 98 won't load the setup portion of the install. I does scandisk ok and then when it tries to load (necessary files for install) it jumps back to the dos prompt. What's going on? This goes the same for even win95 setup too!
Thanks

Not real sure about scsi stuff, but there's a setting in the bios to boot from scsi first. May try that and see if it helps any.
