I just bought a Klipsch ProMedia4.1 for my computer. But, my sound card is a cheap Soundblaster PCI128. it does has two audio outs (1, 2) as required by the Klipsch manual.
and I also selected the surround sound in the control panel speakers settings and my windvd speaker settings, but, no matter what I do, I just can not make the rear speakers speak.

do I need a software to enable this? or is there somewhere else that I need to change for the surround sound?
what software do I need to make it work? I've been frustrated at this thing.

thanks,
mk.

navigate to sounds and multimedia in control panel and click the audio tab, then advanced in the sound playback section. Make sure you have quadraphonic speakers selected. I'm using win2k, so others may be a little different.
