I'm not sure if Bcc is the answer but I've see emails in the past where the email was sent to a group of people but on the To: address line, it's address to me but I don't see the addresses of the other people.

I was planning on putting everyone's email address on the Bcc box and my own address on the To: box but I was wondering if there was a way to do so that each individual address is on the To: box but they won't see the other addresses.

Hope I'm making sense, TIA!

yeah, i think Bcc is what you want. you want to send to multiple people and not have them see who you sent it to also?

If you put your address in the to line and theirs in the BCC line, I *think* it will not show up the way you want. What you need is bulk mail software (google Worldcast, it's free)

Edit: I just confirmed that what I said is true. Their address will not show up on the To line if you put it in the BCC line.

ah! Yeah, that's probably it then, some bulk mail software. I'll checkout worldcast if not then bcc option it is.

Thanks guys!

I've used a freeware program called Blat to do what you want. It reads a text file of email addresses and sends the same email to each address in the file.

TO: The message is directed specifically towards this person, and likely requires response.
CC: The message is not directed towards this person and will likely not require their response, but does require their attention.
BCC: The message is not directed towards this person and will likely not require their response, but does require their attention and requires that no one else know they know.

Some places don't make you have an address in the To line as long as you have something in CC or BCC. Not sure how gmail works but if it makes you, do what you originally stated.
