I updated my video drivers for my X800XT. Everything was normal, uninstall, do cleanup reboot install new drivers.
At the last reboot I get a BSOD stop 0000007b, windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The same error occurs when I try to enter safe mode and when I try to load last good configuration.
I don't want to do a repair install as my CD is SP1 and the system is SP2 so I don't know what problems that may cause. Is there a way to get a free XP CD with SP2 straight from Microsoft?
Is there any way to fix the configuration? Something like removing the drivers from the system or even find what exactly is causing the stop error.
EDIT: I did create a restore point before installing the drivers. Can I use it to restore to before the upgrade.
I am looking for ways to fix this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I did try another video card thinking it might run different drives but the same result.
