Help starting Folding@home

I am running BOINC on all 4 cores of my Q6600 but I want to get involved in Folding at home. Is it possible to run the SMP client on 2 cores and the BOINC client on 2 cores? I am trying to set up the F@h SMP client but when I enter my username and password it keeps telling me that the data is wrong. How do I create a new account? The F@H website is confusing IMO.

I don't think you'll have much luck running the SMP client at the same time as BOINC with specifically assigned cores. I think the SMP will try to use them all and progress will be limited to the progress of the slowest core. (I'm not sure about this.... just don't remember being able to tell the SMP client how many cores to use.... let alone which ones.)

As to the installation, I have had great luck using the version 5.91 SMP WXP client. Just read the directions and follow them exactly. Also note that you must be logged into a passworded account with administrator privliges for SMP to run. Be sure the .Net framework (V1) is installed with all updates.
