When I do start, all programs, I get nothing. When I select explore, it opens windows explorer with a new folder called DS, like documents and settings (which I can't delete because its a system folder and respwans itself if I delete it in MS-DOS). The new folder, DS, even with my old documents and settings stuff copied over won't allow the start menu to display my progrmams. When I switch my start menu to classic mode, the programs folder actually says empty and theres another programs folder right above it, in a separate category that has all the programs that I normally have.

I also created a new user and that user has a normal start menu programs folder.

I've run the latest ad-aware, microsoft anti-spyware, spy-bot and a few others. I've also run the latest anti-virus definitions and that still didn't solve my problem.

Anybody know what might be causing this?
Thanks.
