Here is the story. On 6/24/02 I opened my wirelles phone account
at the Sprint store. I was required to pay security deposit of $125
to open my account and the store rep told me it would be returned
after 1 year. This money were put on my account and I could see
them every time I would login on sprintpcs.com. About 2 months ago I closed
my account and was told by sprint rep that I would get my deposit back
in 1-2 month. Today I called sprint, since I stil did not get deposit back,
and was informed that I never paid any deposits to sprint and there is nothing
they can do since system does not show it.

I need an advice to whom I can complaine about my problem. I am thinking
to write to BBB and FTC, but may be there are some other places that can help.

Thanks in advance.
Igor

I hate sprint.

Don't you have a receipt for the $125.00? A payment shows on your bank statement. Failing that an old bill might show it.

WTF... I agree, write a letter to the BBB documenting all evidence of payment, transactions, etc.

I wish you the best of luck. Sprint sucks hairy donkey ass. I closed my account with them a month ago and switched to Cingular... I checked my bill today, and almost fell over when I saw a $400 charge from Sprint staring back at me.

I called them, and told them there was a problem. The $150 cancellation fee I expected... the remaining $250 I didn't. I was told I'd "gone over my plan" by 875 minutes. BVLLSH!T. I made the guy go through every single charge on my phone bill... at page 23, he stammered and said, "It... it looks like there was a billing error."

No fvcking joke. Turns out they "forgot" to take my PCS-PCS minutes into consideration, and for some reason only recognized 1/2 of my plan minutes. I have no idea how people can be so incompetant.

Sorry to vent, but yeah... if you need any backup on how sh!tty that company is, I'll be first in line with a laundry list of complaints. Good luck!!

I have a receipt from the store, but all it says that I paid
$125 and the reason why I was not worried about this
receipt is because those money were showing on my sprint account.
But, now when they gone sprint rep told nothing they can do even
with receipt.

Bullsh*t. That's what receipts are for. Call them again and say that you need to speak to somebody above the first line of offense rep. If you have a receipt showing that you paid $125 for the deposit you're golden. It's really very simple from there. I'd think of going into a Sprint store, since talking to assholes on the phone can be frustrating and make me want to smash things.

Sprint ripped me off many times: gave me a difference plan than I had signed for, never gave me credits they promised. I ditched them and have never been happier. T-Mobile is great!

Oh how different people have different experiences. I'm not sure what to tell you about your security deposit. Mine showed up as a credit to my account after a year wiht 6% interest tacked on. Better then nothing. That was 2 years ago.
I was about to start a thread stating how happy I was with Sprint. My gf recently switched from Cingular to Sprint, partially because of my recommendation. Today she calls me on her way home from work. I had to ask her if she was driving because of how clear it was. Her old Cingular phone used to make it sound like she was flying a Hellcat in WWII. Go figure.
