I was pulled over the other night for 77mph in a 40mph zone. I need help on how to get out of it. The road is a back road on which no cars (except me and the cop car) were travelling. The entire road except where I was pulled over is corn fields. Is there anyway/anything I can say to make the judge realize that I am innocent?

Note I was infact travelling 75+mph in a 40mph zone, but I don't want to pay the full price.

go to court. pay the ticket. you should be more worried about points on your record then the $$ you need to shell out.

No. You are not innocent. You are guilty of an infraction of the vehicle code, and as such should pay the fine. The fact that the road is a back road with little to no traffic is no excuse to do 30+ mph over the limit. Take responsibility for yourself and grow up. Maybe if you blow the judge, he'll let you off, but I still hope he rabbit punches you in the back of the head and gives you a bigger fine.

My advice: drink heavily. Stalk and kill the responsible police officer. That way, when it comes time to go to court, there will be no one left to testify against you.

You broke the law. Face the consequences. Pay the ticket. Go to traffic school to avoid points.

Search for other threads on the subject. It has been asked so many times it should have a sticky. 30+ over? Good luck proving your "innocence"

Lol. You know by saying that you must agree to it in ALL examples. Should 95% of teens get put in prison for a decade for violating a felony mp3 sharing law?

Damn, you're lucky he didn't give you a reckless driving ticket, that's probably one of the worst ticket you could get

Yep, If you show up, the chances of the cop showing up are 50/50. I know in Maryland if he doesnt show up its thrown out, but i got pulled over going 31 in a 30 and it was a visiting judge, knocked the 3 points off yeah 3 points for 1 mph over, and the ticket got reduced for 40 dollars, rather sad but if it was my county judge it would have gotten thrown out.

I hate to say it, but you're probably hosed. You were doing 35+ MPH *OVER* the speed limit. Does Indiana have a "points" system for licences? If so, I'd be more worried about loosing your licence. Find a good lawyer and see if he can make a deal with the DA.

If this isn't a joke, you're a freaking moron. Not only were you going 37 m.p.h. over the limit, but you want to get out of it? I'm sorry, but I've just lost a lot of respect for you.

Out of curiosity, how much was the fine?

I don't know about where you live, but here you can ask to take a defensive driving course, which means you still pay a fee to both the court and a fee to take defensive driving, but you don't get any points on your license, basically looks like it didn't happen. The fee you will still have to pay will more then likely be cheaper then just paying the ticket would be, plus insurance would never know.

you're a fvcking tool. 37mph over the speed limit? and you wanna get out of it? that is criminal speeding twice over! how the hell are you innocent? oh wait, let me guess: because no one else was on the road. that's bullsh!t. the speed limit was 40, you were going 77. if you are even gonna TRY to say you're innocent... wow. you deliberately broke the law. serve the consequences.
