Alright...anyone have a similar problem? I bought a 3635 from another user here and the speaker on the unit doesn't work. I've been trying to get it to work for the last couple days.

The headphone jack still works so it's not a problem with the sound hardware or anything...just the speaker. It's not a huge deal but it's inconvienient if I want to watch an episode of Futurama with my buds during our breaks between lecture.

What should I do?

The onboard speaker probably died. This is a common problem on earlier revision ipaqs. Heck, happened on mine. There is an internal switch that deactivates the onboard speaker when you connect headphones. This switch doesn't rebound on bad ipaqs. I'm guessing your serial number is 4G13, around there, or below. You have to call compaq and send it in for repair. If it's out of warranty, you can live with it, or take it apart and fix it yourself. The brighthand.com forums have a DIY fix if you do a search.
