Help, something hurts in my mouth...

I've got this small cut/wound type thing inside my lip. If I would fold my bottom lip down, it could be seen (thats where it is.) What is this? Is it an ulcer? How did I get it? And how can I get rid of it faster or make it so I can eat normally or drink normally without feeling any discomfort?

Canker sore maybe? There isn't a whole lot you can do (other than trying to keep your mouth nice and clean). Mouths heal really quickly, though. When I get a canker sore, they usually only last about 3 days...

its it whitish? or discolored? it could just be a canker sore. you've never gotten one? i used to get tons.

It's whitish. I remember getting a few of them before, but it's been years, so I don't quite remember if it's one or not and how to heal it.

sounds like a canker sore. They suck, but they dont last long. Just dont sit there and play with it.

it'll heal itself. You can goto the store and get some oral medicine (basically a pain killer and antiseptic) and apply it to your sore. I bit my lip last sunday (jan 22) and it finally stopped hurting yesterday. That was killer!!

Probably canker sore, so little you can do to treat it too. Stress is a definite factor, so for prevention try to reduce your stress levels.

canker sore, hurts and quite annoying. definately make your way to your drug store to get some over the counter medication for it. if you don't it'll bug you and you'll bug it.
