Help. Someone who has a US Robotics external Sportster 56k modem.

I need to know the power supply specs for it. I was given one but there was no power adapter. USR doesn't have any info on their website.

I have the UK version, the PS is stamped:

INPUT 230V~50Hz 80mA

OUTPUT: 18V~500mA

My ASIA version USR 56k Voice Modem adapter has the following specs..

Input 230v 50hz 0.075A 16W
Output 9V 1000mA 9VA

Made for USR by AULT Inc. Made in China

By the way these adapters have an AC output... NOT DC !!!!

Mine's 1A 9V AC also.

This one is marked 568603 and it appears to only be a 56k x2 faxmodem (no voice).

I'll try a 9v 1,000mA ac adapter.

FYI, I checked again at USR and came up empty handed.

I did a search for Ault and came up with a site address... they are mentioned as makers of external power supplies... check their site for a suitable adapter for your modem... the power should be AC output.
