Hey Folks,

Its a windows xp machine. Everytime i try to renew the ipconfig i get this error:

"An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket."

I mean, huh? I doube checked the network card. Intel card come with a diagnose software and it passed all tests.
My cable modem works cause im writing this from another machine.

Please anyone??

thanks

yeah. First i do the release and then i type renew. Same error.

Maybe i should uninstall tcp/ip and reinstall it if that spossible?

thanks

Yes , there is a possibility that your tcp/ip stack is ruined. Methods of reinstalling it are different for different operating systems. Which one do you have?
