Help settle an argument! Coupe or Sedan?

All other factors being equal, do you perfer cars with 2, or 4 doors? Just generally, I know it has a lot to with the car sometimes, but just pick what your general preference is.

Help settle this debate between Skoorb and I!

It depends on several variables such as:
1) Your age, gender and hobbies.
2) If you have a lot of family or friends who ride with you or have a large family.

I've always preferred a 4 door sedan although I'm in my late 20's.

I have 20-something friends who are still in their sports car phase who prefer coupe's.

4 - I hate it when people climb over my seats... so this doesn't give them the excuse too.

Coupe looks better on almost all models. But I agree with Rossman, it depends on what you are going to be doing most, and if you have a kids.

I prefer coupes but only when I'm driving, for obvious reasons. Everyone else should have to have a sedan

I like 4 door cars - I hate having to climb into the back of 2 door cars. I always hit my head on the damn roof.

Up until now I have driven coupes, but my perfect car right now would be an AWD sports sedan. Too bad there aren't any in my price range.

Opinions are not always valid. If I say that a cavalier is the best car a person can buy regardless of how much money they own I think it's quite easy to argue that at least a BMW would be better, right? The person with the cavalier opinion is a fool!

You just restated my point. You're arguing about opinions; I said that gives your argument zero validity; and you just said "opinions are not always valid." Point proven.

And saying that a cavalier is "the best car a person can buy" is not just an opinion, you're stating a whole slew of incorrect facts regarding its value, performance, and quality, and therefore providing a basis for an argument.

Apparently you people have trouble with reading comprehension. I'm not saying that you can't argue about opinions, you can argue about whatever you want.. but it's useless because everyone is entitled to their opinion.. how can you say someone's opinion is "wrong"?

Sedan. Why? Well, when compared to sedan what does Coupe give you? Higher price (at least in Finland, dunno 'bout USA), more inconvenience and usually slightly less space in the back. Coupe might look slightly better than Sedan, but not good enough to justfiy the increased price anf inconvenience.

Honestly, besides the looks (which are debatable), Coupe gives you only negative things when compared to Sedan.

EDIT: Of course, I'm talking about REAL Coupes here, not hatcbacks (like VW Golf for example)

I perhaps didn't explain well enough. Opinions are not necessarily right. They CAN be proven wrong. If I think that 2+ 2 = 5 and that's my opinion I am wrong, right? I mean correct?

If I say that a cavalier is a better car than a BMW and I'm arguing this with somebody who is FILTHY RICH and does not care about money AT ALL I am wrong. I think I'm wrong. Performance it's worse, quality it's worse, value who cares the guy is rich. See my point? If I'm liberal and you're republican that is a validly debatable opinion. If I say that Carl Lewis is a pathetic sprinter and most of the people in the world could outsprint him this is a poor opinion.

Hell no. I'd love it if my Xterra went 0-60mph in <5 sec.!!!! (it gets it in ~9.5 sec.) Faster SUV's is what the world needs!

This is a stupid argument. You guys really need to debate about something else. How can you argue over something that is so personal to each individual? If sedan vs. coupe is a valid argument.. then why don't they just make one and not the other? You know why? Because different people have different PREFERENCES.
