Help Setting up Router

Hi, I just bought a Belkin F5D6230-3 router at a church rummage sale for $0.25. I want to set it up at my dads work when I want to used my laptop wirelessly. I would only plug it in when i need it and then disconnect it when I'm done. Now my dad has a T-1 and it is in a cisco router and it is only a wired one. Can I just plug it in on one of the network plugs and use it like that? If it would work, how would I configure it. The router seems to be in working order, I just don't know if it would do what I would want it to do.
