help setting up raid 0+1 using sata and ata

I'd like to setup a RAID 0+1 using two 74gb raptors as 0 and a 150gb (roughly) partition of a 7200rpm ata as a parity drive, leaving the other 100gb or so for general storage of crap. Is this possible, or would it be pointless as my raid 0 speeds would drop to that of the ata parity drive?
