Title states it but to clarify:
Motherboard : SuperMicro MBD-X10DRH-ILN4
CPUs: two E5-2695v3
memory: eight Samsung dimms (M393A4K40BB0-CPB)
Hard drives: one Intel 750 pci-e 400GB drive
one Intel 535 Series 2.5" 480GB drive
I was able to install Windows 7 and then Windows 8.1 onto the Intel 535 with no problems.
I am so far unable to get Windows 8.1 to recognize the PCI drive at all.
I have been working with the SuperMicro tech support that has been awesome so far. But I was hoping for some outside input.
The first feedback was:
"In BIOS->Advanced->PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration, change the PCI-E 1/2/3/4 slot which you install the PCIe 750 card from "Legacy" to "EFI"."
Easy enough but no change for Windows 8.1.
Ultimate goal is to get Windows Server 2012 on this system on the PCIe card but I do not have a DVD player so I've had a hell of a time so far.
Any input on missing steps would be GREATLY appreciated.
