Help setting up harddrives for Promise Ultra 100 PCI card

Hi all, I just got the Promise card today for Christmas (obviously).

I have two drives -- one ATA33 and one ATA66. I'm going to put both of them on the card but on separate channels each as master and keep my DVD drive on the first IDE channel on my BH6.

Anyway, my point is this. I'm going to completely repartition and reformat both of them (a hassle but I have to switch which drive Windows is on and I can't really think of any easier way to do it).

Can I run Fdisk and Format from a boot disk with the drives already hooked up to the Promise card (before it's installed in Windows obviously since I'm reformatting), or do I have to do all that with them hooked up to the motherboard and then move them over to the Promise card afterwards? Thanks for your help guys.
 
You should be able to format while the cards are still on the Promise 100 controller.

Just make sure you clear the CMOS after you install the card so that it boots with Windows correctly and installs correctly.
