help setting up bluetooth mouse

Trying to set up a bluetooth mouse on a Fujitsu laptop with Toshiba bluetooth built in. I have the kensington bluetooth optical mouse. The software recognizes the name of the mouse, but then I get a screen to register an HID deivce, and when I click on that, I get "Registering an HID device to this system failed."
Any suggestions?
