well im trying to setup a second web server using redhat linux 7 as a operating system using Apache web server. i use windows 98/win2k pro On my main machine that has the direct connection to the Internet. that machine consists of two ethernet cards.. one for my static ip address and one for the Internal Network (192.168.0.1). Im using Sygate 4.x as a ICS. My small Home network consists of 8 client Machines. i have installed Linux on one machine that has Ip address of (192.168.0.5). well so far i have reached to the point where i can type in 192.168.0.5 on any of the windows platforms and my Linux test page would show up.. but im not sure how to redirect Internet Users to this linux machine? Ive heard of Port forwarding but havent a clue how to set it up. This is my First attempt at this and learning new tasks by the day. Anyways on 192.168.0.1 which has win98 i have Omni httpd pro working as my main webserver, which works just fine. I was wondering how i would go about routing the two machines with just only one static ip. The reason im doing this is because i have a couple of friends in maui who prefer Using a Unix shell to do there uploading and working on their webpages with traditional unix commands. So basically what i want to do is be able to have web pages on both 192.168.0.1 for ppl who dont need a unix shell and 192.168.0.5 for the users who want a Unix shell. And still be able to just type in the 1 static Ip address when searching for a web address and it being able to search both web servers.

Okay now how would i go around mapping ports for the 2 servers..i want Omni http to accept port 80 and Apache to accept port 8080. Im Sooooooo Lost =) .. so if anyone can Please explain on setting this up in lamen terms i would greatly appriciate it. Thanks in advance

This is what I believe you need to do.

I believe there is a dialogue box called Access Rules Configuration. From there, you can do everything you need to do to setup port address translation.

In fact, you may want to just get some documenation from their web site.

Sygate Documentation

Anyhow, that's where I found everything I needed to know to setup PAT on your PC.
