Help setting up a router with InsightBB cable service

Does anyone with InsitghtBB Cable service know how to setup a router with this service. Right now they grant access on a PC by PC basis. From what I can tell, they are reading the PC's mac address and grant a DHCP address based on this. Do I need to give the router WAN Port the same MAC Address as the primary PC that the service was setup with?

Any Ideas here would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like they using MAC address registration.
Most routers will allow you to setup MAC address cloning. At least my Linksys does.
To find the MAC addy in 98 from the command prompt type winipcfg
In 2000 type ipconfig. Your looking for a 12 digit number.

 
i've got them.....they just need the MAC addy for the modem......all you need to do is set up the router for dchp since they dont assign static IPs anymore
