I want to put a mail/web server between the cable modem and the lan router. The server would have two NIC's and will therefore be a gateway, right?
My question:
is this a reasonable configuration? I want to serve low amounts of web and 3 or 4 email accounts. I have a P200 w/Suse 8.1 in mind for this task. Will the P200 pull it?
PS: any other suggestions for the OS? I am looking for the most handholding, but without X if possible
PS2: would this slow down the surfing/cs ? Would I be better off putting the server behind the router ?
