Anyone with the WD 120gig HDD have a problem having their system recognize 120gig? It registers as 120 gig in the bios but when I boot up from a win98 floppy, it would show up as only 40gig in dos prompt....

thats because win 98 has a limit of 80 gigs after that it counts backwards so 80+40=120

to fdisk it properly you need the windows me or newer fdisk available here

hope this helps

just an fyi, if you are using 2k/xp you can boot off the cd and partition in there (instead of formatting with 98 and then installing)

but if you are not using 2k/xp (some people actually did the above) then yeah get a new version of bootdisk from above link

it does actually format it as a 120 gig drive, but it just says it's only a 40 gig in fdisk 98...

I know because I had the same situation as you and it all worked out!
