Help selecting a flat panel LCD?

Hi,

I'm looking for a flat panel LCD that meets the following requirements:

[*]19" (18 viewable)
[*]Not too cheap in quality (must scale down resolutions decently, must not be problem-prone, clear text, etc.)
[*]Must not be too rare (had problems finding some models in stock)
[*]Price range: Under $1900, preferably around $1500 or less

Searching around pricewatch hasn't yielded much luck, and flat panel reviews are few and far in between. Can anyone give some good recommendations, or perhaps a starting point?

My wife and I are aiming to buy some LCD monitors in a few months, and currently I'm looking at the Philips range. IMHO if you go with DVI over the regular VGA/analogue connector you might avoid some of the issues normally associated with LCDs, eg slower response time, etc.
