when i go up on this mouse (gateway mouse, using my parents comp) for some reason all of a sudden it goes back in firefox 1.0.2...is there a setting to fix this?
 
Have you tried checking out the Mouse settings in the Control Panel yet?

I imagine that would be a good place to start.
