Have a p4b533e (newest bios), set to boot of scsi/onboard ata, as first with primary ide drive as second cd as third and floppy as 4th, have the LSI 1520 sata card connected to a WD200JD, though I am running WD's drivers, for card with same chipset as lsi's just wont work. I was able to install XP using (f6 and the wd drivers) but I cant get my computer to boot off of it, even if I unplug the ide drives (during install and after) it still cant find the sata to boot. Any suggestions would be appreciated, because if I can?t fix it tomorrow I am returning the card (fact that I need to use other companies drivers is enough to warrant that) and buying a promise sata card, not sure what to do if that also doesn?t work.

WD drivers? Windows needs the LSI SATA drivers at the F6 prompt. And in the BIOS, you need to set the RAID/SCSI device to boot first.

it is set to Raid/Scsi as booting first. The LSI drivers result in a error (10, divice wont start), so i downloaded drivers from westurn digital for their card, built off of the same chipset, and at least with that windows recognized teh card and the drive (and installed to the drive), still wont boot from it though. Also cant do much in the bios of the LSI card, as i only have on drive and just about everything in the bios works only if raid is set up.
