HELP: Sandisk USB CF Reader suddenly not working!

I have Sandisk USB CF Reader (no eject button). Used to work fine until I format my comp, now doesn't work properly. I use this to transfer photo from my Sandisk 128MB.

I used W2K and had downloaded the update from Sandisk website. I am using Linksys USB Proconnect (USB Hub) and plug-in my
Mouse, Palm connector and Sandisk CF Reader (CFR)

For somereason, if CFR connected, mouse won't work. There is a msg: unsafe removal USB devices (something like that).
It worked once in awhile though.

Any idea? Is this the right forum or Highly Technical would be better?
