Help: S-Video from T40 to Samsung 40" LCD TV

I just started using a T42 instead of my XPS M140 to play videos/DVDs on my LCD TV. Everything worked perfectly when using my M140 but although I can see the desktop and applications etc. when I connect to the LCD TV using S-Video I cannot see any moving video. It is just a purple square. Any ideas?
