I posted this in GH as well but this a software problem so I need all the help I can get

Ok I am dual booting Windows ME and Windows XP. I installed some program called BootitNG. It gives me this annoying thing when I boot up so I went into ME and deleted everything that said Bootit. Now when I turn on my computer it does the Dell loading screen then says unable to find Bootit on the EMBRM partition. These files werent in the windows directory or anything and i would of done add remove programs but it wasnt there.

I have so much on that computer, please help. When I press buttons just the annoying beeps ..... Reformating is the last last resort I have a lot of very important info on there. Thanks ...

The boot sector of your boot partition is looking for the bootit boot loader, and you've got to change it to look for the the winxp boot loader, which I presume is what you used before. If winxp works the same as w2k, you'd start Recovery Console and run " fixboot ", or you'd do a repair install. If winxp is different, someone here will likely let you know.

the question is how do i run recovery console???

theres no command line

i have an fdisk for 95 but i guess i need to get one for 2k then??
