Does anyone know a place in Charlotte where the HDTVs are set up correctly? I need to convince my parents that with a better setup the picture would be much better. However, she saw one at Costco and was very unimpressed. Help please!

Anyone with an HDTV (rear projection preferably) in Charlotte willing to let me take a look at it?

You need to do some reasearch... HBO, Showtime, HDnet, CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX (to a degree), WB, Discovery and ESPN in about 2 months... Id call that more than 3 or 4

Didn't he say something like 3 or 4 channels ARE(as in, you know, right now, not in 2 months) available? Anyway... I know a guy in Rocky Mount who has it set up and he brags about it all the time now.

I didnt mean only HDTV, i shouldve been more specific. I was just assuming the TV would be HDTV ready at least. Rocky mount is too far away, but at least its a start.

Of those listed only ESPN HD is not yet available. And PBS wasn't mentioned so there's yet another one.

well, i doubt CostCo was displaying a HD signal on their TV's....at least, they don't by me......most likely they are running a DVD to the HD television (which is well, DVD quality)...what you need to do is go to a high end video store. they will probably be running the PBS loop, or even HDNET (on directv). just call around....

anyways, i can help with some questions that you might have....i live in kansas, so can't show you the difference, but it is awesome, if you can get a HD signal.....

also, it appears that your statement
I need to convince my parents that using our digital cable and an hdtv decoder thee picture would be awesome.
is somewhat flawed so you might want to PM me so I can explain it to you....

True, a good high end place would work, if I knew of any in Charlotte. I guess I will just call around. *bump*
