Hi All,

I'm in a bit of a pinch...

A couple months back, I posted a thread on OT on AT about ideas for my summer course, _Ethics and the Internet_

This week, I was trying to prep for that course, and haven't been able to find the thread anywhere...was wondering if a kind mod or someone else who saved it might have the ability and the generosity to help me retrieve it?

I could kick myself for not copying and saving the thread earlier, but since helpful folks were still adding to it, I didn't do this, thinking I could do it later.

I gather that OT forum must be recycled quicker than the FS or HD forums?

TIA for any help..and thanks again to all the kind folks who contributed, making it so valuable. :)

Thanks for replying. :)

Should have clarified...I did search the archieves, extensively, using a number of phrases and then words in the post, using the "older than 45 days" option--nothing.

Perhaps I did something wrong? Is there a regular removal schedule for OT postings?

No such thread exists in the database. It was either deleted or was lost when the database got corrupted a couple months back due to server issues.

Keep in mind, this is not a storage vault for important topics, its always best if you deam something important to save the thread locally.

Thanks.

Ya. Zuni's right.

Always keep a backup of important documents on the forums. Just think if the forums crashed? :)Q)

That wont happen, but if it did, wowzers...

Thank you for checking Zuni. :)

In answer to other posters, I think it started in late March or so.

As I said in my initial post, I should definitely have saved it even as it was growing. No one's fault but my own.

I appreciate all who helped me out here and there.

Well, wasn't there some mess up in the database in march?

Or sometime? I vaguly remember it, but we lost a few posts.

But was your thread established or what?
