I know I know, very last minute ... need some suggestions on a good seafood sit down place in souther california, near the san gabriel area ... TIA!

San Gabriel area?
Tons of Chinese seafood restraurants there...

There are also some sushi restraurants around, esp in Little Tokyo.

But if you don't mind driving to Hacienda Heights area, there's Joe's Crab Shack...which I think is very good..but long wait.

If you don't mind driving to santa monica area, go to crustasean .. definitely has one of the best crab and lobster.

In san gabriel area, try phoenix inn. They have pretty good chinese seafood dishes as well.

phoenix inn is the place we always go to whenever I fly down to visit, my dad's favorite place =)

in santa monice, there is the fish co. which has the best seafood.
