HELP ! resistance on unlocked xp ??

which two places do i measure on my xp to see if it is unlocked and what should the reading be... i orderd multi meter and unlocking kit (high speed pc) and instructions are confusing... also once i am done unlocking is it ok to keep a piece of tape on there so it doesnt get messed up or will it melt?? there is upc/barcode on the cpu i need to take that off?

this multi meter is confusing too sigh what is resistance measured in dcv acv dca 10a hfe or 2000k 200k 20 k 2000 200 etc.. ?

The Ohm reading is the one you want. Thats the litte horseshoe looking thingy. Set it for the lowest one, the 200 setting I think.
