GOOD EVENING/MORNING,
I AM IN THE NEED OF SOME HELP NOT THE WHITE STRAIGHT JACKET TYPE THE COMPUTER UPGRADE TYPE.
I AM NEW TO THIS AND I'M IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A TOP SPEC PC ALL I HAVE AT THE MIN IS TOWER AN PSU. I TODAY ORDERED THE MOTHERBOARD(ASUS A8N SLI DELUXE) ON THE ADVICE OF THE GEZZER AT THE SHOP,BEEN ON THE INTERNET TO GET SOME REVIEWS AN IT SEEMS A GOOD BOARD. DOES ANYBOBY HAVE THIS BOARD?? WOULD APPRECIATE SOME FEEDBACK!!?.ALSO THERE WAS TALK OF AM2 MOBO AND 32PCI-E LANES?? ARE THESE BETTER BOARDS THAN THE ONE IVE CURRENTLY ORDERED COZ I AM AFTER TOP SPEC SO IF ANYBODY GOT ANY ADVICE I WOULD BE GRATEFULL!! ILL BE USING AN AMD DUAL CORE PROCESSERWHICH ONE? YET TO BE DECIDED> AN ANY HELP ON WHICH HARD DRIVE IS BEST IS MIRRORING TWO BETTER?? SHOULD I GET A RAPTOR DRIVE?? SO IF ANYBODY OUT THERE FANCYS GIVING A CONFUSED GUY A HAND PLEASE DO!!!

hi, please don't use caps anymore. it hurts my eyes. I'll help you out. You need a 939 AMD processor if you plan to use that motherboard. It should be ok. You can also get an AM2 motherboard, which is the newer socket for AMD. It was recently introduced.

you should wait until july 24th to buy your components. AMD is dropping all it's prices on cpus.

What is your budget? RAID is always better if you have more money. RAID5 is my suggestion, but the a8n sli deluxe doesn't support it that well. There's a new asus board, with the nvidia 590 chipset. It's much better and supports raid 5.
