Help!Replaced V3 agp with Radeon VE ,black screen-no display at all!

Yup I know the Ve ain't all that great but the price was right.But when I shut down after uninstalling the V3 and change it to standard vga adapter, install Radeon,boot up-no display,black screen(has power).Computer seems to hang( as the hardrive light stays on),thats all I know.
1.0 gig celeron
Asus p299b,1011 bios,rev 1.02
200wattp/s(baby at)
V3 at the moment(radeon won't boot)
256 sdram
Vortex1 Aureal
Gvc 15' m1556p monitor
Win 98

Try reseating the card a few times this is normally that problem,it might not be seated right,also try it in another PC if you have no luck.

Thanks Mem,by reseating do you mean push it in all the way?(it is)Or just push it in and pull it out a few times?What would that accomplish?

Yes. Some AGP cards need to be really pressed in hard so they snap into place twice. It's often hard to tell but after the first click often only the front is fully seated but the back is only partially in.

Take out the card and push firmly until you're absolutely sure that the front and the back have both snapped into place.
