Help removing GPU heatsink . . .

I just got a Blue Orb & am tryin to get the stock heatsink off my GPU w/o scrappin my card. I won the Blorb for winning the CounterStrike Tournament @ DFW Lan Party (www.dfwlanparty.com) on SAT.

Well, I had read somewhere to stick the vidcard in the freezer for awhile & then twist away at the heatsink after removing it. I applied a generous amount of force, but it was a no go! Still on there & I want it off soon!

Anyone have a recommendation on how to remove a heatsink from a 64mb Creative GeForce2 GTS?

Please do inform!

Is it not attached with 2 plastic clips? I think it is. All I did with my Hercules is take needle nose plyers and pinch the ends of the 2 clips and the heatsink pulls right off. I would suggest that the GPU be a little warm as to thin out the thermal compound on the GPU and heatsink.
Give that a try but try not to ruin the clips as they could help hold on your blue orb.

I use a knife and slide it under one of the edges. Then slowly pry up the side of the heatsink. There might be a little epoxy left over, just use a razor blade and shave that off. Last but not least, use a little alcohol on the final product to clean it up.

I guarentee it'll work!
