hi i need some help trying to remember this movie. It's a western about this guy who became the sheriff of the town and did his thing to enforce the law but it was a comedy based western and i thought it was really funny and had some good laughs.
Here are the parts that i can remember to it:
* - at one point the town jail didnt have bars so the sheriff drew a line on the ground that the prisoner wasnt supposed to cross. Later on the bars were installed and the prisoner said to a guy trying to break him out that he helped install them because he was bored
* - a bunch of guys that usually rode into town screaming and shooting their guns in the air on their horses all tripped because the sheriff had tied a rope spanning the street and he pulled the rope tight as they were about to cross where he was sitting and next time these guys came into town their horses were walking and they rode in all quiet and friendly like...
it's really old movie. and i cant remember anything else that might jar some memory but if i do i'll post it. please help if you know what im talking about.
