Help regarding Standby!!

I recently built a new athalon system with Abit KT7 raid and WIn98. But when the system goes to standby it crashes(doesn't wake up-has to be rebooted). I have tried changing settings in the BIOS without any use. Any suggestions?

Are all your peripherals standby compatible? Otherwise it won't work.
