I recently got this router from TigerDirect.com. I am trying to get my desktop and my roomates desktop hooked to my @home cable modem through this router.
The following are my problems.
When I try to give dynamic IP in the router settings I get only the following response
SYSTEM STATUS
Item Internet Status Details
Remaining Lease Time 00:00:00 Reconfiguring...
IP Address 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask 0.0.0.0
ISP Gateway Address 0.0.0.0 Disconnected
Domain Name Server 207.217.120.83, 207.217.77.82
Item Peripheral Status Details
Dial-up Modem Not ready
Printer Not ready
Firmware WAN Port MAC Address
Version R1.89f 00-01-03-A7-01-C7
Display time: 09/22/2001 03:04:18
However, when i try to give the Static IP. All seems to work.
Now I reach problem number 2. After i am connected. Sometimes my router looses connection. I can't seem to do anything and not even go to the Admin page of the router by typing in the Router address 192.168.2.1.
I just get an error page. I am currently running the 1.89 firmware.
is there something wrong with the router??? SHould I update my firmware ?? will that solve the problem?? Should i use the 3Com firware update or AMIT's????
Anyone else with the problem???
