help refresh basic instal commands

Hey i'm going to be putting in a new hdd and xp install this weekend, can you guys just help me refresh the commands for partitioning and formatting? it hasn't been that long since i've done this jive but my memory isn't the keenest out there. thanks. just a quick summary of process
 
For XP, there's really nothing to do - the setup program will bring up a nice graphical partition tool and format the partition of your choice. You can start a raw disk, provided you can boot up from the CD.
