need help on recovering corrupt ms office files....

is there any app out there that could do this ?? (preferrably freeware)

Turn on hidden files and folders and see if there are any .tmp files. Office (if set properly) automatically backs up files as tmps while working on them, if corrupt before a successful save, it saves them.

The only office repair app that I know of costs a lot of money and is for each different office app such as Word, Excel, etc.
