Help (recovering files on a corrupt partition)

Ahhhh... I'm so screwed somehow the boot partition on one of my machines was corrupted and I need to recover the files off of it. Does anyone have (or know of) any methods or software that could help... Please Help I'm desperate

Have you tried booting from a start-up disk and typing the fdisk /mbr command on that machine yet? Do you think the drive has physical damage?
 
Do you think you can put the drive in another machine and check that way? Would probably have to set the bad drive as slave to do this, depending how the other machine is set up.... If the other machine can see it, you may be able to save some data, hopefully the other machine wont hang trying to scandisk the bad drive..... good luck
