I am looking for a print server for my client's home network. I have used an SMC wireless one before, and it had to be physically reconnected to the router every time I rebooted the router, so it wasn't really "wireless" in a true sense. That's not too bad but I'm hoping to find out what options we have. I'm also wondering if parallel ones will actually make a difference performance-wise in comparison to USB kinds in an average home usage like this. If you have any recommendation, I'd appreciate it very much. :)

I was wondering the same thing. CompUSA has a Netgear USB and Parallel port print server on sale today for $30 after rebates - do these things actually work? I have a dickens of a time getting other computers on my network to see the printer hooked to my main machine.

It's probably more than you want to spend, but this is what I use:
http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/

It shares my Canon S600 to my 4 PCs and also to my Apple PowerBook G4, through both my Ethernet LAN and my 802.11g wireless network. It works like a charm and is also my wireless access point (much better range than the D-Link I had been using).

It also can stream audio from iTunes to its funky combo 1/8" stereo / mini optical jack, but I've only used that feature once as my main PC rig is already connected to my stereo system.

It's expensive, I paid $119 for it at buy.com, but it's tiny and works great.
