Help re-creating Users Folder

Dell 3521 Laptop running Win 7 Home Premium.

I had a nasty adware (virus?) infection on my laptop and took it to a local shop whom I trust. They removed the infection, but now there is no Users folder. My user name profile appears thus: C:\My Documents\User Name\

Can someone direct me to a tutorial on how to rebuild my user profile? I can take the computer back to the shop, but it's 50 miles away and I prefer to fix it myself if possible.

That said, recovering the Old Folder might recover the "junk" too.

Create yourself a new User name, and it will make a new clean Folder.

Thanks for the suggestions, Jack. I think the problem may go much deeper. For example, when I right click Computer, then Manage, I just get a spinning wheel. Same for the individual commands under Administrative Tools in Control Panel.

Couldn't get to first base in trying to set up Elevated Administrator.

May have to re-install Win 7.
