I have a problem with one of my computers. If you are working on it or just letting it sit there it will randomly reboot. Somedays going for a week without a reboot and others several times a day. They have an APC ups/line conditioner inline also.

System components include:
Celeron 500
128MB Ram (kingston)
13GB HD
no sound card
3com NIC
4MB (Jaton I believe)PCI video card
It's been about a year since I built all of them and don't remember exactly.

It is actually a server for my Dad's shop that I built. Just a peer to peer network using '98. All they runs is Peachtree Complete (accounting program) and Excel. The data on PT is becoming corrupt now with the reboots. Needs to be fixed bad. I'm going to replace the p/supply first and see if that helps. Does anybody else have any suggestions??

NEVERMIND, misread it...so....I would think possibly the power supply or that the CPU is overheating.

Random reboots could be caused by anything going bad. Check the power supply like you said and cross your fingers.... Could be the cpu, fractured motherboard, video card going bad, or a million other things....
