I am going crazy

My computer has started to freeze at random times during bootup. Sometimes during CPU init, sometimes chip-set, sometimes later. I have sometimes been able to get into setup, but then the screen suddenly goes black and everything is frozen.

I have swapped motherboards, CPUs, memory, video-cards, network cards etc but to no avail.

It started with a thunder-storm that caused my main PC to shut down. After that I couldn't boot (never got past CPU init / chipset init). Got a new processor, but didn't do anything. I then swapped MB (a MSI K7T to a MSI K7T Pro2-A). This worked fine for a while, but then suddenly the PC sht down again, and I had the same problem. Swapped processors again, but no difference. Sat overnight, and put in a third processor, and now it suddenly worked. After a few hours, put in another processor and again no problem. After a few hours, the PC suddenly froze again (blank screen etc as above) and since then I haven't been able to boot.

If I pull the power cord and let the PC sit for a while, I usually get quite long in the boot process. Without pulling the powercord, it usually stops at processor fail or early chipset init.

When I moved the new MB back to my second PC it did the same thing.

ANY ADVICE????????????

I guess I should mention that I have been running without ANY problems for almost a year. My system is as follows:

MSI K7T Pro 2-A
Athlon TBird 900, TBird 1200 and Duron 700
Antec SX830 case with 300W PS (athlon approved)
Matrox G450 DH
Linksys NIC
384MB Crucial PC133 CL2 memory
IBM HD

No overclocking

Just a thought, power supply? You could have damaged some internal wiring with a lightning strike.
