HELP... Radeon 8500LE texture flickering problem

I'm running Windows XP home on a system with an SIS 735-based motherboard.

I installed a Radeon 8500LE vid card about two months ago, and it has been running perfectly until about four days ago. But now, I am having trouble with flickering and jumpy textures in 3D games. Chunks of models in games are blinking, temporarily turning transparent, and vibrating. I am having the same problem, with a varying degree of severity, in all the 3d games I run. (Counterstrike, Quake 3, Rayman 3, GTA3, etc etc.)

I have tried installing new drivers but that has not helped. I also tried updating my agp drivers but that didn't help either.

When I temporarily swapped my card with my friends Radeon 8500 (NOT an LE) I did not have this same problem.


Is there something wrong with my video card? Please help!

hmm.... get a tweaker (www.rage3d.com) and DOWNCLOCK the card, and if that fixes it, return the card as it definitely means its faulty.
