1. Which process is used to take signals from different sources and combine them to send over one cable?

2. Which type or program provides communication between a network adapter card and the network redirector running in the computer?
 
The first question is a little vague, but it could describe multiplexing (Statistical, Time Division, Wave Division, etc)

The second function is the job of the protocol stack (whichever protocol stack you happen to be using).

Refer to the OSI model (Layer 1 -> 7)

Well actually the first one was correct.
and question #2 is Driver software
