Help! PSP won't connect to the Net through WGR614

AnyMal

Lifer
Here is what I've tried so far:

Router: WPA-PSK ON, MAC filtering ON (PSP MAC address added to ACL), ssid broadacst turned OFF.

PSP: Set-up new profile, entered SSID, chose WPA-PSK and entered passphrase, left other settings on AUTO

PSP finds my router but connection times out at "Exchaning security key"

Router: WPA-PSK ON, MAC filtering OFF, ssid broadacst turned OFF, IP address reserved for PSP.

PSP: Set-up new profile, entered SSID, chose WPA-PSK and entered passphrase, manually assigned IP address, Default Gateway, etc.

Same results as above.

Before I revert to WEP (which I don't really want to do) does anyone have any ideas what else I can try.

well then try a simple key, I don't recall the character requirements for the key.

just try something like joining two word together. Just to get that out of the way.

make it at least 8 characters and give it ago. that really is all there is to WPA-PSK.

The key works just fine with my laptop, I wonder if PSP's WPA-PSK setup allows for a limited number of charachters in the passphrase?
